The Last Hoorah

We took Riley to chuck-E-Cheese tonight to see the "mouse" that he loves so much. It was a farewell celebration of being an only child, filled with pizza, rootbeer, and tokens galore. Being a Wednesday night, Todd and I thought that it would be "safe" to go to the mouse while avoiding tons of loud, obnoxious children...we were wrong. There were 2 birthday parties and a church fundraiser going on. Who would have thunk?!?! :) Despite the deafening sounds of run-amuk kids, Riley had a lot of fun...and I guarantee that he still doesn't get that tomorrow his world as he knows it will be over forever!!! :)

It's Almost Baby Time

One week from today, God willing, Todd and I will be parents all over again!!! How exciting. I absolutely cannot wait to not be pregnant anymore. I have been preparing this week for the ordeal of a C-section next week by getting my hair cut, getting a pedicure (my first one ever), and getting a manicure (also my first one ever). I may have gained a total so far of 45lbs, but gosh darn-it, I'm gonna have nice hair and nails when I go in to the hospital next Thursday morning. :) Wish us luck...and say a prayer that my mom's flight will not get canceled or delayed. You never know when you fly into Scranton what will happen.

The Good Wife's Guide

This is supposedly from a 1950's Home Economics high school text book teaching teenage girls how to be a "good wife". It is a real crack-up!!! All I can say is...I am SO glad I wasn't a teen in the '50's!?!?! :)

Riley and his best friend Ava

Riley is absolutely in love with little Ava. He has a lot of fun showing off for her and she is a very willing recipient of his antics!!! :) They are pretty darn cute.

Bubble-Mania

Riley got Thomas the Tank Engine bubbles for Christmas and he has SOO much fun dipping his face into them during his bathtime. He'll dip his face in and then look at himself in the spout and laugh and laugh. It is pretty darn cute if you ask me.

Our Jumpin' Machine

Riley is absolutely obsessed with jumping...and trains too of course. He jumps off of everything. It is actually quite terrifying, but he is pretty sure footed and usually lands on his feet. Needless to say, we have to keep a close eye on him. :)

"I'm Gonna Like Me"

I just wanted to share with you one of Riley's favorite books as of late. He can't get enough of it!!! It is written by Jamie Lee Curtis of all people and is absolutely darling. The illustrations are fabulous and we HIGHLY recommend it. As I type, he is flipping through the pages and has been doing so for the past 15-minutes. You gotta love that. :)...(We actually like all of Jamie Lee Curtis's books.)
