Ava is Walking

Our little 11-month old has started walking! She is growing up way too fast!!!

Two Teeth In One Day!

Riley has had two loose teeth for a while. Unfortunately, his two permanent teeth were coming in BEHIND his two baby teeth. So, his baby teeth had to go! By some miracle, he let me wiggle his teeth yesterday until they were super loose. Then I pulled one out. He thought it was so cool, but was a little wierded out by the blood. The other tooth was hanging by a thread, but it took some convincing to let me pull it out.

Riley wrote a note to the Tooth Fairy telling her how brave he was.

He was so excited for the Tooth Fairy to come, that he jumped into bed early last night with absolutely no fuss. Amazing! I wish he could loose teeth more often :)

The Tooth Fairy took Riley's teeth and note and left him a note of her own. She also left him TWO Star Wars Lego mini figures for his bravery: Darth Vader (without his mask) and a Snow Trooper. He was so excited!

Ava's Birthday Cake

Happy Birthday Ava girl. Technically her birthday is in October, Nana was here so we decided to celebrate 2-weeks early. This was my first ever attempt at a "special" cake. It was a bit lopsided, but it tasted good. :) The funny thing is that I never even thought to make any type of special cake for the boys', but now that I have my little girl, all I could think about was trying to make a cute cake. As you can see from the pictures, she LOVED it!!!

The Warning...Maryland Style

So, my sisters mom and I are driving down to DC when a cop pulls us over. The funny thing is that Jenny has just finished telling us that she always gets off the hook when cops find out she is from Utah. I guess they think that Utahns are too "simple" to follow the law?!?! Anyway, from out of nowhere this cop turns on his sirens and pulls us over. Apparently Jenny did not have her front tags on her car. You don't have to have front tags in KS or UT, so how was she to know? Well, technically, Chris did tell her and her friend Shermeen did get a ticket for the exact same thing a couple weeks before, but whose keeping track? (I'll give you a hint: it's NOT Jenny!) :)

Jenny just ended up getting a warning because she's from Utah...seriously. It was hysterical. The other funny thing is that when the cop looked in Jenny's car and saw all four of us sitting there, he did a double take and got this confused look on his face before he asked us if we were all related. Apparently there are not a lot of white women all together very often where Jenn lives.

p.s. Who thinks Jenny has put the tag on her car yet? I'm thinking no :)

Girls' Weekend to D.C.

I just got back from a fun weekend in D.C. with my mom and my sisters. We stayed at Jenny's new, and amazing, house; We met the dashing fiance, Chris; We got to see cute little Molly the Labrador in action; We got to eat, sightsee, eat, chat, eat, and laugh. It was a blast! Thank you to Jenny and Chris for opening up your home to the "three" of us :)

One of the highlights of the trip was Cirque du Soleil. Jenny bought us all tickets and it was AMAZING!!!! If you ever have a chance to go see it then do! The show we saw was all about bugs. The acrobatics those people can do are truly astounding. HOW on earth can people actually do the things they do is beyond me?!?!?

Honestly, we could not stop laughing all weekend. I love being with my three favorite ladies!
