A Saturday Project
It was so gorgeous today that we decided we better get some work done on the house while we still can...plus my mom is coming on Wednesday to visit and we want our house to look presentable. So, it was off to the Home Depot. We bought some white paint for our garage doors (which were gray) and some paint for our front porch. The wood was in such bad shape that staining it was out of the question. So we painted it. Red. Brick Red. I took these pictures while the paint was still wet, so it is a bit magenta-ee. When it dried though it was definitely brick color. We love it, but it definitely makes a statement. (What that statement is I'm not sure?!?!) :) Now we just need to save our pennies to get black shutters for the windows and we're set.

I would have never thought of a red porch, but it looks really cool.

looks good sara! i'll have to check it out in person.
So how's being Jewish going for you? Trying to cash in on two holidays huh...well, you can forget me giving you two holiday gifts! Ask Todd to tell you of the star that Shelty put up in the front of our house and then about all of the people that thought we were Jewish. My poor dad even drew out plans and showed it to my mom before he put it up to try and get into the Christmis. And what was halirious is that is the first and last time ol Sherman got into the chirstmas lights.
